Ernest “Allie” Allison was a true pioneer, first flying the mail for the U.S. Post Office, and again in China for CNAC, and finally as chief Boeing test pilot for the B-29. He loved to fly, loved to sail, and fortunately for us, his life’s record has been preserved in this very nicely documented (and illustrated) biography, carefully written by his daughter.
