The "Pernambuco", a Sikorsky S-38 in NYRBA do Brasil's fleet, is being refueled from a Standard Oil Company truck, somewhere in Brazil, likely in early 1930. Before long, this same aircraft would be flying with Pan American's logo, after NYRBA was absorbed by Pan Am later that year. Photo Courtesy Toomey Family Archive.
