Pan Am flew the first subsonic widebody passenger jet from New York's JFK to London's LHR in January 1970. Thirty years later, Pan Am's Robert Blake, Pan Am representative at Boeing, and John Borger, Pan Am's Chief Engineer  offered their perspectives on the 747 Superjet's development in the Pan Am Historical Foundation newsletter.
