PAN AM’S 80TH BIRTHDAY PARTY – YOU’RE INVITED!!

The Pan Am Historical Foundation is sponsoring a 80th Birthday Party, celebrating the founding of Pan Am, on October 26th and 27th, 2007 at Dinner Key, Miami, Florida. The venue will be the Double Tree Hotel, Coconut Grove, Maimi, FL, across the street from the original Dinner Key Clipper Terminal.

You can begin making hotel reservations effective immediately. Call the Double Tree at 1-800-222-8733 and ask for the special group rate for "Pan Am's 80th Anniversary". Singles range from $135 and $155 for doubles, per night. Space is limited so book early.

Most of the weekend's activities are still in the planning stages. What is planned is an optional day trip to Key West to visit the actual site of Pan Am's first ticket office. This round trip will be offered on Friday, October 26 for $40.00.

Friday evening, Miami Chapter of World Wings International will celebrate their 40th Anniversary with a cocktail and plentiful hors d'oeuvres party at the Coral Reef Yacht Club - a short walk from the hotel. Dress is optional but costumes are encouraged as their will be a competition with prizes. Cost - $40.00

On Saturday afternoon, a celebration is to take place at Dinner Key in commemoration of Pan Am's impact on aviation history. A Saturday Night Gala banquet at the Double Tree Hotel will end the event's official celebration.
