Cleared To Land: The Event


On January 29, 2015 the University of Miami Libraries hosted a reception at the University entitled "Cleared to Land", celebrating the history of Pan Am and paying tribute to the Pan Am Records Collection. The Pan Am Collection is the most prominent and active of the University's "Special Collections", and the celebration marked a milestone in the processing and preservation of the more than fifteen hundred boxes of Pan Am archival materials. To be accomplished is the digitization of the Collection, a further objective shared by the University and the Foundation, to make Pan Am's legacy even more accessible for learning and discovery worldwide."
